CHARA YOGA & WELLNESS COLLABORATIVE

My Story-Tristen Vieaux MA, LPC, RYT, ACS
There are seasons in life when we feel anxious, depressed, stuck, or simply lost—whether in our personal lives, our relationships, or our careers. For me, the outdoors, my faith, and yoga therapy have been steady, compassionate companions through those moments.
My own turning point came in 2015. After being diagnosed with infertility and navigating an intensely stressful period in my career, I realized how disconnected I had become from my own body. I often say I was living in a self-care and self-esteem desert. At 40, I couldn’t touch my toes and found myself breathless after climbing a single flight of stairs. Deep down, something whispered, “There must be more to life than this.”
One day, I searched online, found a local yoga studio, and signed up for a class. As I unrolled my mat and took what felt like my first real breath in years, a sense of calm washed over me—something I hadn’t felt in a very long time. That moment marked the beginning of a profound healing journey, one that invited me to become a student of myself.
Through that exploration, I discovered the courage to follow my heart. Chara Yoga and Wellness Collaborative was born from my personal experiences and my desire to help others recognize the obstacles and long-held patterns that may no longer serve them. Yoga and Behavioral Health Therapy can open pathways to living more fully, easing stress and anxiety, and navigating life transitions with greater clarity and strength.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Yoga Therapist, I integrate my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with specialized training as a Certified Menopause Coach and Licensed Trauma and Somatic Mental Health Therapist. My work centers on creating spaces where the mind can quiet, spiritual connection can deepen, and authenticity can flourish.
My own journey with authenticity has looked like falling down, getting back up, taking risks, failing, learning, and trying again. I’m living proof that growth and joy are possible. Today, I embrace my body and my relationships in all their forms and unexpected twists, honoring the beauty and imperfection of being human.
It is an honor and a joy to hold space for you as you step into your own unique and transformative journey.
Love and blessings, Tristen
